The Juliet - Copper Cuff - Shakespeare and Moon Phases

I teach Freshmen English and I have taught Romeo and Juliet more times than I can count. Romeo and Juliet is perhaps not my favorite of Shakespeare’s works, but I do enjoy teaching it to freshmen. It’s like a Disney movie really, so many life lessons about not being so (I think the most recent slang I know is “thirsty”) or “hard up” for action that you make bad choices…but with enough adult humor for those of us who understand the old slang to keep me blushing.

Anywho, I really missed teaching this last year during lockdowns and “crisis schooling.” Juliet’s line from the balcony scene “Swear not by the moon, the inconstant moon…” really stuck with me this time, but maybe it’s just because it pairs so nicely with my moon phase stamps.

6in x 1/4 inch copper cuff, adjust by pinching the ends toward your wrist as you flatten the top of the band to the top of your wrist.

This bracelet has the quote on the inside and a botanical print on the outside. I have just the one in stock, but I am happy to make something similar for you too. Commission requests should start in my email inbox.
